Projects Completed
DWDM network install and turn-up
VRX Industries tested new optical fibres between existing network nodes over a vast metropolitan area. Installed and turned-up core network DWDM, CWDM and Optical Amplifiers. Patched through wavelengths between multiple multiplexers and work with network engineers to test and appropriately attenuate the wavelengths.

- DC and AC powering to Optical Amplifiers
- 2x new 45RU communications rack installations
- 350+ patch leads and labels installed
- 90+ attenuators installed as a result of turn-up and testing
Emergency Optical Cable Replacement
VRX Industries responds to optical fibre faults, testing and identifying the condition of the circuit to identify the fault location and solution. In this event, vandals had accessed the underground conduit network and stole 400m of optical fibre cable. This caused great disruption to the network’s backbone transmission. VRX Industries, responded on short notice, we supplied Rodent Proof and client branded cable manufactured to order. We quickly hauled and spliced the replacement cable to return the network connections. A part of this work, VRX Industries also custom made pit security to deter thieves from accessing the pits again
Data Cabling
Over 600x Cat-6 ethernet terminations completed in an office fit out for a critical medical company. Works involved, hauling in overhead ceiling space, wall cavities, riser shafts and kickboards to terminate on field sockets, patch panels and testing.
